4. Security

news aktuell takes all necessary technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and misuse. For example, all data you enter via the website is transmitted in encrypted formats. All personal data, including contact details, invoice data and other information about our customers, interested parties and partners are stored exclusively within our own IT infrastructure at our main office in Hamburg in a secure operating environment that is not accessible from the outside.

5. Facebook Profiles and Fanpages

In addition to its website, news aktuell operates Facebook profiles and fan pages to provide information about our company, our services and activities, as well as to communicate with clients, prospects and other users. As the operator of the Facebook pages, news aktuell is not interested in the collection and further processing of your individual personal data. The operation of the Facebook pages with regard to the processing of user data is based on our legitimate interest in an up-to-date information and interaction process with customers and prospects in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f)  GDPR.

Personal Data of Facebook Users

news aktuell as operator and Facebook Ireland, Ltd. (Dublin) are jointly liable for processing user data in connection with news aktuell's own Facebook pages. Personal data is only processed by us if you interact with our Facebook pages as a user, e.g. you send a message, write a comment or like the page by clicking the “Like” button. The data processing takes place on the legal basis of your consent according to Art. 6 (1) a) or - if you send us a product or price inquiry, for example - the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR. You can revoke the given consent at any time by deleting the content or deactivating the respective “Like” button and/or the “Like” button of the fan page.

Statistical Data / Facebook Insights

news aktuell uses statistical data that is made available to us as Facebook page operators in anonymised form ("Facebook Insights"). news aktuell has no influence on the generation and presentation of this data and can neither deactivate this feature nor prevent the collection and processing of data by Facebook. news aktuell can use this statistical data to optimise the posts and activities on the Facebook page for users, such as choosing preferred visiting times for the publication of our posts. For the joint processing of this data, we have concluded an agreement with Facebook concerning the order processing, which can be accessed here.

Further Data Use by Facebook

Facebook Ireland, Ltd. (Dublin) and Facebook Inc. (Menlo Park, USA) also process data of users who access and/or interact with the respective Facebook profiles and posts: According to the current status and our knowledge, this is done for the following purposes: Advertising (data analysis and placement of personalised advertisements), creation of user profiles and market research.
